Under the Guragaon master plan 2021, Haryana Urban Development Authority ( HUDA) government is spending approx Rs. 120 crore to develop the Dwarka Gurgaon expressway. Northern Peripheral Road, commonly known as Dwarka Expressway is being developed under the public private partnership (PPP) model. This 18km and 150m long road starts from Dwarka and connects Palam Vihar. This stretch will also connect Dwarka with National Highway 8 ( NH8) at Kherki Dhaula and will pass Pataudi Road. To ease the traffic situation on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, the Northern Peripheral Road stretch has been planned as an alternate link road between Delhi and Gurgaon. The work on this stretch is expected to be completed in another five years. Much like Delhi, Gurgaon too will have a BRT corridor to decongest traffic on the Northern Peripheral Road.In total it is an eight lane expressway being developed to assist commuters passing this route and reduce the total travel time spent by the commuters specially coming from west Delhi.
